Amazon Gliwice - Green Zone Area
Target
To create an outdoor chillout zone near Amazon’s warehouses, offering employees a relaxing and comfortable space to unwind during work breaks. The aim was to provide a green, restful area within the workplace environment.
Event components
We fully designed and built the Green Zone from scratch. The process began with a conceptual design and 3D visualization, followed by the construction and installation of wooden and metal benches, swings, shelters, and tables. We also planted shrubs and greenery to enhance aesthetics and create a natural separation between the zone and the warehouse area.
Photovoltaic panels were installed to power the zone’s lighting using renewable energy. A designated smoking area was also included. The Green Zone functions as a year-round mini park for employees.
Results obtained
This innovative solution brought new life to the warehouse setting. Amazon employees in Gliwice now enjoy their breaks in a much friendlier, more inviting environment, promoting relaxation and team integration. The chillout zone is highly appreciated by employees. Additionally, it is energy- and water-efficient, with solar-powered lighting and low-maintenance, weather-resistant plants and materials suitable for all seasons.
